For five decades, the KINO Cinema Convention has been the leading meeting place for cinema operators, film distributors, and industry professionals from across Germany. With more than 75 exhibitors and a diverse conference program featuring panels, seminars, and trade shows, KINO and its accompanying exhibition continue to shape the future of the cinema industry. The event is organized by HDF KINO e.V., Germany’s largest cinema association, representing around 600 member companies operating approximately 800 cinema locations and more than 3,000 screens nationwide.
Starting in 2026, the congress will be held in Hamburg. Due to its central role as a film and media hub, its modern infrastructure, and excellent connectivity, the Hanseatic city offers the ideal conditions to further develop the congress and sustainably strengthen its importance as a central industry event.
